Our event is run entirely by volunteers and enthusiastic readers, on a not-for-profit basis. As organisers we hope to create a welcoming space for readers and authors alike.
All net proceeds from the event will be used towards future events. If for any reason we decide not to run future events, these proceeds will be donated to the Albert Kennedy Trust and Stonewall.
General organiser of all things Con related.
Lives near Bournemouth, UK and has reached that point in her life where nearly every day is a holiday.
She is a voracious reader and has been known to write the odd review. She particularly loves women in uniform and stories about them.
Helping with general organisation, the Con buddy scheme and the author spotlight section.
Lives in the south of Germany. She loves to travel, read, write and draw. If she’s not reading or proofreading she watches her favourite TV shows.
Helping us keep track of the finances and sponsorship.
Helping with general organisation, looking over the venue specifications, and other fun stuff.
Helping with the author spotlight section and custom designs for the Con.
Lives in Berlin, Germany, with her partner. TV inspired her to study medicine, but she found out soon enough that real life in a hospital consists more of working long hours than performing heroic rescues. The part about finding a workplace romance turned out to be true, though.
She uses any opportunity to escape the routine by reading, writing, or travelling. Her favourite destinations include penguin colonies in Patagonia and stone circles in Scotland.
If you think you might be able to help on the day, please get in touch with us at firstname.lastname@example.org, using ‘Volunteer ELLCon18’ in the email header. Volunteering is a great opportunity to get to know other readers and authors.
